Deirdre Granville
Is ceoltóir agus amhránaí í Deirdre, a thosaigh ag seinm ceol traidisiúnta agus clasaiceach ag aois óg. Tá fud fad na cruinne siúlta aici ar chamchuairt agus ag ceol. Ghnóthaigh sí an chéad chraobh uile-Éirinn sinsearach i bhfonn mall ar an gCruit ag Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, agus an rath céanna ar mhórán dá scoláirí. D’eisigh Deirdre albam aonair ‘Imram’ sa bhliain 2015. Tá sí ar dhuine de na cruitirí is aitheanta i saol comhaimseartha na cruite. Tá suim faoi leith aici i mBailiúchán Goodman, foinn mall agus ceol ó oileán an Bhlascaoid.
A multi-instrumentalist and singer, Deirdre studied both traditional and classical music from a young age. She has toured and performed extensively worldwide. Deirdre has won All-Ireland Senior Harp Slow Airs title at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann and has led many students to the same successes. Deirdre released her first solo album, Imram, in 2015. She is one of the most recognised names in contemporary Irish harping and has a particular interest in the Goodman Collection, slow air-playing and the music of the Blasket Islands.
