Anne Conroy
Burke
Ceoltóir agus múinteoir ar an mbosca ceoil is ea Anne Conroy Burke as oirthear na Gaillimhe. Tá tuiscint dhomhain aici ar an cheol ó bheith ag éisteacht le ceoltóirí a condae dúchais agus ós na ceoltóirí ar chas sí leo sna blianta a chaith sí ag ceol ar fud an domhain ar thurais ceoil. Seineann sí ar an mbosca B/C. Múineann sí ceol go minic sa bhaile agus ag féilte/scoileanna ceoil. Bíonn béim ina cuid ranganna ar frásaíocht agus rithim an cheoil chomh maith leis na poirt agus teicnící ceoil. I bpáirt le Jackie Daly bíonn sí i mbun ceolchoirm an bhosca gach bliain ag Scoil Samhraidh an Willie Clancy. Bhunaigh sí fhéin agus a fear céile an “Joe Burke School of Music” sna nóchadaí. Faraor, cailleadh Joe i mí Feabhra 2021. Tá Anne fós ag múineadh agus tá áthas uirthi a bheith ar ais ag seinimt arís go háirithe, le déanaí, lena deirfiú Mary Conroy.
Musician and accordion teacher Anne Conroy Burke comes from East Galway. She has a deep and natural understanding of the music, having listened first to the rich tradition of her native county and later to the many fine musicians she met on world travels and tours. Anne regularly teaches music at her home and at summer schools/workshops. She plays a 2 row b/c button accordion. Her classes focus on the phrasing and rhythm of the music, as well as tunes and technique, while always with encouragement and her sense of fun! For the past few years she co hosts the annual “Accordion Recital” with Jackie Daly, at the “Willie Clancy Week” in Miltown Malbay, Co.Clare. Anne then with her husband Joe Burke established the “Joe Burke School of Music” in the 1990`s. Sadly Joe passed from this life in Feb 2021. Anne continues to teach there now, providing classes in person and online.
